Service Description

The Basic Life Support - This 4 hour course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills needed to respond to cardiac and respiratory emergencies. This course covers topics such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), as well as the management of choking, breathing emergencies, and other medical emergencies. Participants will also learn about legal and ethical considerations, workplace safety, and the importance of communication during emergency situations. Basic Life Support (BLS): Whether you're in a hospital, dental office, nursing home, pharmacy, or diagnostic center, Basic Life Support (BLS) is a necessary tool for your job. Delivered by KINEA Training Centre with partner provider St. John Ambulance, participants learn the full content of a level CPR-C course (adult, child, infant, and two-rescuer CPR), as well as: - Oxygen Administration - Automated External Defibrillator (AED) - Choking Management - Bleeding Control - Recognition of Signs of Stroke and Heart Attack - Basic Wound Care Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a Basic Life Support certification, valid for one year. With certification from St. John Ambulance, this course is suitable for healthcare professionals, first responders, and workplace safety personnel who require basic life support certification for employment or personal reasons.
