Service Description
The CPR Level A + AED - 1/2 Day Course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills needed to respond to cardiac emergencies. This course covers topics such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), and choking. Participants will also learn about legal and ethical considerations, workplace safety, and the importance of communication during emergency situations. Course Objectives: Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to recognize and respond to various cardiac emergency situations, perform high-quality CPR on adults, use an AED, manage choking, understand the legal and ethical considerations of providing CPR and AED, and develop an emergency plan for their workplace. The CPR Level A + AED - 1/2 Day Course provides participants with practical, hands-on training and a course manual to help reinforce the knowledge and skills they have learned during the course. This course is ideal for individuals who want to learn CPR and AED skills for personal reasons, such as parents, caregivers, or anyone interested in learning these life-saving skills. Certification: This course is certified by St. John's Ambulance and meets the standards of the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a CPR Level A + AED certification card, valid for one year.
