Service Description
RED CROSS Standard/Intermediate First Aid Recertification -1 Day Course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills needed to renew their Standard/Intermediate First Aid certification. This course covers topics such as CPR, choking, bleeding, and other medical emergencies. Participants will also learn about legal and ethical considerations, workplace safety, and the importance of communication during emergency situations. Course Objectives: Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to recognize and respond to various medical emergency situations, perform high-quality CPR, manage choking and bleeding, understand the legal and ethical considerations of providing first aid, and develop an emergency plan for their workplace. REQUIREMENTS: In order to attend the Standard/Intermediate First Aid Recertification - 1 Day Course, participants must complete preparation reading before the course. Additionally, participants are required to send a copy of their current Standard/Intermediate First Aid certification that has not yet expired. Certification: This course is certified by the Canadian Red Cross and meets the standards of the St. John Ambulance. Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a Standard/Intermediate First Aid Recertification card, valid for three years. The Standard/Intermediate First Aid Recertification - 1 Day Course provides participants with the knowledge and skills needed to renew their Standard/Intermediate First Aid certification.
